Nothing Gold

Frost did come too cold
only evergreen can hold.
First garden grieves the hour
of each and every flower.
The wind did reach the night
and withered just despite.
Were spring too short, belay
If nothing gold can stay.

  1. Then beheld my eyes
    a creature that legend implies
Dancing aloft through the cold, dark stillness
Moonlight danced across its silvery gold brilliance
Come in with me, it’s far to cold
I called to the monster of old
The wind bit, the trees mourned
    but the dragon stayed, unscourned

Loved your poem!!! So much it inspired me to add a tag along đŸ˜‰
